The Ultra Gold Krypton windows which you installed in our home have exceeded what you suggested as a sound absorber/silencer. As you know we live on the busiest street in Hamilton and as the traffic has been increasing over the years, so has the noise level in our house. With the installation of the new windows we cannot hear the cars, light trucks or buses. The only traffic noises we now hear are the extremely large trucks and then only when they seem to be shifting gears. We have been so impressed with the reduction that I have taken some measurements with an ITN sound level meter, model SDL120,S/N 120-93-126212. Inside the living room the meter never goes above 40Db(A) even when transports go by. Outside the living room window the meter registers up to 60Db(A) with car traffic and up to 70Db(A) plus when transports pass.

I wasn't exactly sure who to gush to, but we recently purchased 16 replacement windows and 2 replacement doors from Gilles at Ducana, and the boys from G&K in Blenheim who installed did an absolutely fantastic job! The windows and doors themselves are beautiful, but the job was pretty big and came with some trepidation regarding mess and duration; however Greg, Francis, Sean, Danny, Justin and Don made the experience a pleasure.
