The intent of the Ducana Windows & Doors Ltd. warranty is to guarantee the integrity of the products and workmanship to the original purchaser and to define the responsibility of Ducana Windows & Doors Ltd. for the repair or replacement of the defective parts. Service under this warranty is available by advising Ducana Windows & Doors Ltd. as soon as the defect is discovered. The Company shall not be liable for consequential damages, which may arise as a result of the defects in the products or in their repair. No other warranties are expressed or implied.
PARTS AND LABOUR
NO CHARGE TO CUSTOMER. From the date of delivery Ducana Windows & Doors Ltd., (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") will, at the Company's sole discretion, repair or replace at no charge to the original purchaser (whose name and address appears on the front of your contract hereinafter referred to as the "Customer") defects in parts and materials which appear in Ducana Windows & Doors Ltd. manufactured products contained on your order with exclusion of glass and exterior paint which warranty is detailed below. No consequential damages arising as a result of defects in the products or in their repair are included.
This warranty does not apply with respect to component parts which have been damaged by accident or improper use; component parts that have been subjected to negligent operation; glass breakage; damage to any component part as a result of exposure to corrosive fumes, condensates, fire or excessive heat; damage as a result of improper third party installation; flood or other "Acts of God".
GLASS
Ducana Windows & Doors Ltd. Diamond Series ™ insulated glass units carry a Safe Sealed ™ Lifetime Warranty to the customer for as long as the customer remains the registered property owner, or has transferred the warranty using the Transfer Warranty Card, against failure of the hermetic seal directly attributed to defective manufacturing of the unit by the Company, which failure results in permanent obstruction of vision through the unit. See "Schedule of Lifetime Warranty" for replacement glass units.
The insulating glass warranty does not apply with respect to: units improperly installed by third party; units damaged as a result of exposure to corrosive fumes, condensates, fire or excessive heat; units subject to excessive stress from movement of the structure; glass distortion or breakage of any kind; glass treated with films or similar alterations, flood or other "Acts of God". No consequential damages arising as a result of defects in the product or in their repair are included.
SCHEDULE OF LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR REPLACEMENT GLASS UNITS
The following charges will be made for units the Company furnishes as replacement units under the terms of this warranty. The periods indicated are from the date of delivery of the original contract invoice. The Company may at it's sole discretion refund the purchase price of replacement units in lieu of furnishing a replacement unit. The value of the glass shall be determined by reference to the then current Company price list for the insulated glass units.

PLEASE NOTE – This warranty excludes any insulated glass that is glazed into an existing old window. These units carry a 5-year glass warranty only as Ducana Windows & Doors Ltd. does not control the quality of the original frame, sash or glazing components. Due to the characteristics of heat reflective low emissivity glass you may experience a degree of haziness at certain times during the day as light strikes the glass at certain angles. This is not a defect.
EXTERIOR COATINGS
All manufactured products of Ducana Windows & Doors Ltd. that are painted carry a 10 year warranty with respect to the finish against adhesion failure causing peeling, cracking or chalking and against fading colour causing a notable change to colour in the product. This warranty is not applicable to damage caused by external factors, structural defects causing product deterioration, any "Acts of God", and damage caused by chemical products being used on the painted surfaces.
TRANSFER OF WARRANTY
Transfer is accepted by request of the original purchaser of this contract. The customer must request the Transfer Warranty Card from the Company's Tilbury Head Office and return it to the Company completed. Our head office address and phone number can be found on the front of your contract.
